  • Plan, organize, and develop instructional materials including presentations, lectures, and assignments.
  • Teach courses utilizing effective pedagogical methods to meet learning objectives.
  • Provide prompt feedback on student assignments and evaluate student performance fairly.
  • Maintain accurate course records and submit grades by established deadlines.
  • Be available to students for assistance and maintain flexible office hours.
  • Collaborate with faculty and participate in developing policies and curricula changes.
  • Attend faculty and staff meetings and contribute to campus life.
  • Stay current in academic discipline and maintain necessary certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of professional experience directly related to this assignment.
  • OR associate's degree plus six years of professional experience directly related to this assignment.
  • OR a valid appropriate California Community College Credential in the discipline area.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
  • Experience with online learning technologies and course management systems.
  • Ability to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
  • Experience in maintaining student confidentiality and records.
  • Compensation ranging from $87.60 to $101.54 per hour based on education and experience.
