Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications Opportunities for advancement with factory paid training!

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2-5+ years of Service Technician experience required
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. or more with or without assistance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to work in a shop environment that is effected by frequently changing temperatures.
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to continue to learn and keep up with certifications and training

Nice To Haves

A or B level qualification including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair a preferred and a PLUS
ASE Certification preferred and a BIG PLUS
Technical Training preferred and a PLUS
GM Training a PLUS

Responsibilities

Diagnosing and preparing vehicles for repairs
