About The Position

The Automotive Technician is responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. The technician will examine customer vehicles, identify necessary repairs and maintenance, estimate costs, perform repairs, document services, and maintain a clean and safe work area. The technician must follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines, request necessary parts, and maintain customer satisfaction index (CSI) at or above company standards. Participation in required training and compliance with company policies and safety regulations is essential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of automotive work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree in Automotive or related field.
• Experience with customer service.

Responsibilities

• Examine customer vehicles.

• Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
