About The Position
AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care in Lexington Park is seeking a dependable Automotive Technician to join our team. We are looking for a technician who is comfortable performing diagnostics, general automotive repairs, and routine maintenance while supporting transmission removal and installation work as needed. This position is a good fit for a technician who enjoys solving problems, working efficiently, and continuing to develop their mechanical skills.
Requirements
- Experience performing automotive diagnostics and general repairs
- Ability to complete routine maintenance and common mechanical repairs
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Transmission experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right technician who is motivated and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics and identify mechanical issues
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes and vehicle inspections
- Perform general repairs such as brakes, suspension, cooling system, and basic engine work
- Assist with transmission removal and installation when needed
- Accurately document diagnostic findings and repair work
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
