About The Position

Sterling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Opelousas, LA is seeking experienced Automotive Technicians who take pride in serving Acadiana and being a part of a successful family-owned and operated business! As an Automotive Technician, you are responsible for performing the diagnosis and repair of customer and dealership vehicles. By maintaining technical competence and producing the highest quality of service work, you will be an integral part of helping the dealership to retain its customers and continue to grow.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience as an Automotive Technician is required
• Must be coachable, have strong communication skills, and be able to work well with others as well as independently
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen, have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years of age or have 3 full years of driving record
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair customer and dealership vehicles
• Work with Service Advisors to discuss findings
• Provide estimates of time for repair and request needed parts
• Install equipment, systems, and vehicle components
• Record diagnostic findings, safety concerns, and maintenance recommendations
• Ongoing requirement to complete any mandatory certifications and training provided by the dealership and stay up to date with new technology
• Must follow all dealership and industry standard safety policies and procedures
