Position Summary The Service Technician is responsible for performing high-quality automotive repairs and maintenance on customer and dealership vehicles. This role ensures safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction through accurate diagnostics, proper repair procedures, and adherence to Lincoln, Mazda, and dealership standards. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Diagnosis & Repair Perform accurate diagnostics using OEM and dealership-approved tools and equipment. Complete repairs and maintenance following Lincoln and Mazda factory specifications. Conduct multi-point inspections on every assigned vehicle. Identify additional service needs and communicate findings through repair order documentation. Ensure all work meets dealership quality standards and safety guidelines. Repair Orders & Documentation Review and verify repair orders for accuracy before starting work. Document all findings, repairs performed, and parts used clearly and completely. Record mileage in/out, technician notes, and time stamps accurately. Maintain accountability for vehicle locations and proper RO flow. Customer Service & Communication Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding diagnostic results and repair timelines. Provide clear explanations of needed repairs to advisors and management as required. Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy with both internal and external customers. Shop Safety & Organization Follow all dealership safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and return tools/equipment after use. Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials. Teamwork & Professional Development Support a positive team environment and assist fellow technicians as needed. Participate in OEM training, certifications, and ongoing skill development. Stay current with Lincoln and Mazda technical bulletins, recalls, and repair updates. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Preferred OEM certifications (Lincoln, Mazda, or other manufacturers). Experience working in a dealership environment.
