Requirements

  • Stable Auto Mechanic work history: minimum of 4 years of experience required.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test and have a valid driver license.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification always a plus
  • Ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC systems.
  • EV and/or Korean brand experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Accurately diagnose cause of malfunction in a timely manner.
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
  • Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
  • Road test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
  • Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clock procedures.
  • Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
  • Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical matter.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
  • Able to explain mechanical problems and needed repairs to Service Advisors and vehicle owners in a non-technical manner.
  • Ensure the customer’s vehicle is returned to them as clean as it was prior to service.
  • Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
  • Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
  • Maintain manufacturer training certifications and pursue ongoing training.
