We are seeking an experienced or aspiring Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, ensuring quality service and safety standards. Essential Duties: Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in vehicle systems. Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Save and tag parts of the job under warranty or as requested by customers. Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Communicate with the service advisor regarding the need for additional work or any issues with completing repairs on time. Document all work performed and recommended services on the repair order. Road test vehicles when required or refer to a test technician. Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and keep up-to-date with manufacturer technical bulletins. Supervise and mentor apprentice technicians as assigned. Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean and inform the service advisor of any changes in the vehicle's condition. Maintain a clean and organized shop area. Maintain and take responsibility for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA). Operate all tools and equipment safely and report any safety issues to management. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have own tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a 3-year clear driving history.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Strong physical dexterity for working with tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and be a team player

  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems.
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency, safety, and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Test drive vehicles, and diagnose systems using special service tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Communicate directly with service advisors to inform customers about needed services and repairs.
  • Provide estimates for the time required for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs in accordance with warranty and manufacturer specifications.
