About The Position

Summary: Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. Responsibilities include the following: Examining customer vehicles. Identifying necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance. Estimating cost of repairs. Performing vehicle repairs and maintenance. Documenting services performed. Performing services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines. Following dealership and manufacturer service guidelines. Requesting necessary parts. Maintaining CSI (Customer Service Index) at or above Company standards Maintaining an organized, clean and safe work area Participating in required training Recording all hours worked accurately in Company timekeeping system Following all Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrating the Company’s Core Values Compling with Company policies and procedures Observing all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
  • Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
  • Valid Insurable Driver’s License
  • Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
  • Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
  • Ability to understand and following instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
