About The Position

Colonial Chevrolet of Acton is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive drivability / transmission Technician to join our team. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.

Requirements

Ability to diagnose and repair drivability issues as well transmission issues
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
ASE certification preferred
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently
Use diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain repairs needed and provide status updates
Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in the shop
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and participate in ongoing training and development
