About The Position

Lighthouse is looking for an individual with a great attitude, good work ethic, high integrity, and an ASE certification as an Automotive Technician. As a Lighthouse Automotive Service Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for servicing our guests' vehicles and ensuring quality workmanship.

Requirements

ASE certification required.
Must be a High School Graduate or have a completed GED
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Successful completion of a background check is required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair.
Communicating effectively with teammates, parts department, service advisor, and supervisor.
Supervising the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
Inspecting and refilling fluid levels as necessary.
Completing vehicle inspections.
Cleaning and lubricating fittings as needed.
Ensuring that the service center is clean and presentable.
Greeting any guests encountered, in a professional, pleasant manner.
Saving and tagging parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
Documenting all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
Road testing vehicles when required or referring to the test technician.
Participating in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
Ensuring the cleanliness of customer’s cars and shop area.
Understanding, keeping abreast of, and complying with: manufacturer technical bulletins, federal, state, and local regulations--such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
Other tasks as assigned.
