About The Position

The Automotive Technician - Quality Improvement at Subaru's Parts Collection Center is responsible for investigating vehicle parts quality issues related to reported market defects. This role involves conducting reproducibility verification and detailed investigations of market return parts to resolve quality issues promptly. The technician collaborates with various stakeholders, including Subaru of America and Subaru Corporation, to ensure effective communication and resolution of chassis- and body-related quality issues in vehicles sold in North America.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Subaru vehicles.
• At least two (2) to four (4) years of experience in automotive repair or quality assurance.

• Familiarity with Subaru's vehicle models and systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Subaru of America (SOA), Subaru Corporation (SBR), and other relevant stakeholders to resolve chassis- and body-related quality issues in vehicles sold in North America.
• Consults with Manager based on market information to consider optimal reproduction methods and follows the reproduction work plan established by the Manager.
• Uses appropriate means to reproduce customer-reported issues with parts returned to the Parts Collection Center (PCC) as per the work plan.
• Summarizes the reproduced conditions and results in a report.
• Sends parts to suppliers, Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA), and SBR for further detailed investigations based on obtained results.
• Gathers information early on assigned quality issues to expedite resolution.
• Contacts market-related individuals to collect information and obtain necessary details.
