About The Position
The Technician role at Monro is a vital position within our automotive service and tire dealer network, which operates nearly 1,300 locations across 32 states. This full-time or part-time hourly position is designed to meet the needs of the business while delivering exceptional service to our guests. Technicians are responsible for conducting basic vehicle diagnostics and performing routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role emphasizes a people-first approach, ensuring that every guest feels valued and receives the highest quality service. Technicians are expected to communicate effectively with guests regarding vehicle issues and proposed solutions, consistently meeting expectations for time commitments and quality of service. In this position, you will perform a variety of tasks including Monro's Courtesy Inspection process, which involves identifying, documenting, and communicating additional needed services and repairs. You will also assist in inventory management, ensuring that the store is maintained to Monro's standards for cleanliness and is always guest-ready. Safety is paramount, and you will be required to adhere to Monro's safety standards, including proper vehicle testing and compliance with governmental standards. Continuous learning is encouraged, and you will be expected to complete all required training courses to maintain your technical knowledge and capabilities. This role is not just about technical skills; it also requires strong customer service abilities, as you will be interacting with guests and helping them understand their vehicle needs. The work environment is dynamic, operating in an automotive shop with exposure to various conditions, and requires physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
