The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. They will also oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to them. The business is under new management and contains an extremely busy state of the art automotive shop providing unlimited earning potential. There is a 4 (four) day work week option available.

  • Receive repair orders from Team Leader and take to stall area.
  • Perform work as outlined in repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Advise service advisor and/or Team Leader immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
  • Document work performed.
  • Road-test vehicle when required or refer to the Team Leader.
  • Supervise the work of any apprentice as assigned.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean.
  • Keep the shop area neat and be able to always account for all dealership-owned tools.
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Be familiar with MSDS location and information.
  • Maintain CSI in top 10% of group.
  • Adhere to dealership policies and procedures set forth by dealership management and manufacturer specifications.
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • ASE certification preferred.
