About The Position
The Ford-Lincoln Technician Careers Program is a specialized initiative aimed at recruiting and training technicians with a minimum of three years of professional automotive experience. This program is highly competitive, reflecting the professionalism associated with the Ford-Lincoln brand. The primary objective is to develop candidates into brand-certified Ford-Lincoln Automotive Service Technicians. Upon hiring, selected candidates will be required to attend a four-week in-resident instruction and certification course to ensure they meet the necessary qualifications and capabilities required for the role. As a Ford-Lincoln Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing assigned work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards. This includes diagnosing malfunctions, performing repairs as authorized, coordinating with the Parts Department for parts availability, and documenting all work performed. You will also be expected to road test vehicles to ensure the quality of repairs and maintain cleanliness in the shop area. Safety is paramount, and you will need to comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). The role requires a strong commitment to ongoing training and development, as you will need to stay updated with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes. The position may involve working closely with others or independently, and dealership uniforms are mandatory.
