A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN - AUTO MECHANIC In this entry-level car repair position, you play a vital role in our shop. Using your strong mechanical aptitude, you enthusiastically diagnose and fix a wide range of issues. Each day, you arrive at the shop ready to complete a variety of tasks, including maintenance and suspension work as well as cooling system, computer, and engine repairs. You also diagnose check engine light issues and complete engine replacements.
