Automotive Technician Apprentice - Clay, NY
About The Position
Davidson Ford of Clay is looking for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry! We provide hands-on training and experience partnered with manufacturer training. This position is perfect for someone who's looking to get into a skilled trade who wants to learn and grow! No tools needed! We'll provide the tools and toolbox needed to perform the basic daily tasks of a technician starting out and after a training period, they're yours to keep! Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Auto Technology training or schooling
- Previous experience at any chain Automotive repair shops is a plus.
- Possess a high level of motivation and energy.
- ASE certifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist other technicians with vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues
- Learn how to perform basic automotive services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines
- Occasionally assist with our pick up and delivery service.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
