What You’ll Do As a Manager-on-Deck (MOD), you’ll learn every aspect of store operations to prepare for a leadership role. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you’ll master skills in people management, financial performance, operations, and customer service.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of management experience or equivalent in the automotive industry
  • Strong ability to coach and develop teams
  • Proven success meeting sales and profit goals
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to work 5+ days per week, including Saturdays (never Sundays!)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive experience (Technician or similar role preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Set clear expectations and communicate regularly with employees about goals, training, and customer service
  • Hold team members accountable through coaching and support
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Recruit, interview, and hire new employees as needed
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations
  • Analyze business trends and develop action plans to meet or exceed sales and profit targets
  • Share financial goals and results with the team during meetings
  • Review invoices and reports to find opportunities for growth
  • Maintain tight controls over assets and cash handling
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment—front and back
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and request maintenance as needed
  • Oversee proper return of unused parts and credits
