About The Position

The Automotive Shop Foreman at Porsche Fort Myers is responsible for overseeing the service department, ensuring high-quality repairs and compliance with regulations. Requirements

• Experience as a factory trained or certified technician in Luxury Brand vehicles preferred but not required.
• Ability to submit to a background check and drug screen.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and assist technicians in developing their skills.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.
• Ensure all department employees receive appropriate manufacturer training.
• Assign repairs to technicians in an equal and fair manner.
• Provide technical support for technicians when necessary.
• Ensure repairs are charged out correctly.
• Check progress of each repair order throughout the day.
• Maintain high-quality service repairs to minimize comebacks.
• Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
• Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
• Account for all repair support documents and ensure they are processed correctly.
• Manage department performance using efficiency and productivity control tools.
• Monitor technicians' daily productivity reports and payroll records.
• Monitor shop condition, including cleanliness and safety.
• Report problems to the service manager or dealer.
• Ensure proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools.
• Keep abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommend purchases.
• Fill in for service advisors and dispatcher when necessary.
• Attend managers meetings as requested.
• Strive for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
• Maintain a safe work environment and professional appearance.
