About The Position

We are looking for a Service Writer who shares these values and takes pride in ensuring that customers feel confident about their vehicle repairs. As the main point of contact between our customers and technicians, this role emphasizes clear communication, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from check-in to pick-up.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an automotive service writer or advisor preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic automotive knowledge (training provided as needed).
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced shop.
  • Comfortable using computers and shop management software.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Honest approach to recommendations—customer trust comes first.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical writing skills.
  • Experience with data entry and Microsoft Office.
  • Automotive service writing and advisory expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers professionally both in person and over the phone.
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and document them accurately.
  • Open repair orders and communicate vehicle issues clearly to technicians.
  • Prepare and explain estimates in a straightforward and honest manner.
  • Recommend maintenance and repairs based on safety and vehicle needs.
  • Communicate updates and timelines to customers throughout the repair process.
  • Obtain approvals before performing work.
  • Review completed repairs and invoices with customers at vehicle pickup.
  • Maintain organized and accurate service records.
  • Work closely with the service team to keep workflow running smoothly.
  • Help create a welcoming, professional, and stress-free environment for customers.
