Automotive Service Technician
About The Position
Our busy shop is looking to add a full line specialist. Full line techs are proficient with electrical, drive-ability, and steering/ suspension. Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standards Mechanics provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. Requirements
- Must have own set of tools
- Must be dependable with a reliable source of transportation
- Strong motivation to learn & succeed in the business
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- We verify employment history and drug test
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standards
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology
- Provide customer satisfaction through vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance according to Ford’s standards
