About The Position

Tire Discounters is a full-service automotive shop, so our Service Technicians perform a variety of services, including shocks, struts, steering, alignments, brakes, transmissions, routine and scheduled maintenance and much more! Our Service Technicians are at the core of our business and vital to successful day-to-day operations of each of our locations! Below are the primary responsibilities to help you get a feel for a "day in the life."

Requirements

• Minimum two years of automotive repair experience. (ASE certifications are preferred but not required.)
• Must have own tools (We offer a great tool purchase program!)
• Capable of operating machines and equipment used in the automotive mechanic trade -- diagnostic scanner experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistency follow store policies and procedures.
• Desire and ability to work in a team environment.
• Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years of age.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Capable of continuous standing, bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs).
• Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years of age.
• Availability to work on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate and timely vehicle diagnosis, maintenance and repairs, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
• Test drives vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality and overall safety.
• Promotes company culture of cooperation and collaboration among all team members.
• Assists other teammates with tasks as needed to consistently deliver on our expectation of delivering a wow experience
