About The Position
Lia CJDR Schenectady is seeking a Level 2 Automotive Technician to join our team. Lia service departments are equipped with the latest technologies & equipment including service drive alignment checker, alignment rack, and Hunter tire mounting and balancing machines. Sign on bonus may be available based on skill level and experience. COMPENSATION RANGE: $85K-$95K SIGN ON BONUS: Available up to $5,000 based on experience, certifications & qualifications
Requirements
- 1+ years of Service Technician experience required
- Experience performing preventative and light duty maintenance
- Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair experience preferred
- State Inspection certification required
- WiTech Certification Preferred
- Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
- Computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership processes
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
