Automotive Service Technician
About The Position
Karsten Auto is seeking a reliable, mechanically skilled Automotive Technician to join their back-of-house team. This role is crucial for quickly and efficiently moving vehicles through the reconditioning process, ensuring they are frontline-ready for sale. The technician will be responsible for inspecting vehicles, diagnosing common issues, and performing light to moderate repairs to keep inventory turning fast. The ideal candidate is someone who works hard, stays organized, and takes pride in doing solid work without constant supervision. While experience with Tesla and EV inventory is a plus, it is not required; a strong general automotive background and a willingness to learn are considered most important.

- Comfortable in a fast-paced used car dealership environment

Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming vehicles and identify needed repairs or maintenance
- Perform light to moderate mechanical repairs and service work
- Help move vehicles through the recon process quickly and efficiently
- Communicate repair needs clearly with the BOH team
- Assist with diagnosing issues, test driving, and verifying repairs
- Support the team in getting the vehicle lot ready on schedule
