About The Position

AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN Are you a technician interested in a TIERED Pay Plan, Longevity BONUS Program, On-the-Job training, and so much more? If so, this opportunity is for you! LaFontaine- Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, a proud part of Michigan’s largest and most respected automotive dealer group, is looking for a Certified Automotive Technician to join our growing CDJR service team. THE POSITION: Performs vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Requirements

  • Work evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required.
  • ASE Certifications or State Equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Minimum 2 years of professional technician experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and customer-focused
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to meet company's production and quality standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Michigan Mechanic Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Chrysler Level 1–3 Certification preferred (or willing to complete)

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles
  • Complete routine maintenance: oil changes, brake work, tire rotations, alignments, etc.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend services
  • Utilize OEM diagnostic tools (wiTECH) and follow Chrysler repair procedures
  • Accurately document work and communicate with Service Advisors
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
