As an Automotive Service Technician , you will perform vehicle repair and maintenance according to dealership and factory standards. This role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicle malfunctions, communicating with service and parts departments, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality work.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Michigan Mechanic Certification
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and technical information
  • Professional personal appearance and excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to meeting production and quality standards
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to follow directions, company policies, and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to positively impact team morale

Responsibilities

  • Receive repair orders and perform repairs efficiently and accurately as per dealer standards
  • Diagnose malfunctions and carry out authorized repairs
  • Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain necessary parts
  • Tag, save, and turn in parts as required by warranty or customer request
  • Inform service advisors of any additional needed work or issues affecting repair timelines
  • Document work performed and road-test vehicles to confirm repair quality
  • Perform quality checks and maintain clean workspaces and vehicles
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated with factory technical bulletins
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping policies, and regulations governing repair work
