The Automotive Service Technician is a crucial role focused on ensuring customer satisfaction through diligent work habits and ethics. This position involves troubleshooting customer concerns using advanced tools, maintaining a high level of common courtesy with all customers, and acting as a secondary greeter in the Service Drive. Key responsibilities include staying updated on technical publications, performing safe and honorable vehicle service, addressing all initial customer issues before pursuing additional sales, and inspecting vehicles for maintenance opportunities according to factory recommendations. The technician is also responsible for returning vehicles in a clean condition, participating in training programs, accurately completing all necessary paperwork, and fulfilling other duties assigned by management. Punctuality and a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also expected. Customer satisfaction is a result of your personal work habits and ethics and is of utmost importance as part of your job function. The Service Technician is also responsible for setting goals for personal service improvement, and monitor progress against customer satisfaction index numbers and production numbers as provided by the Service Manager.
