About The Position

Suburban Cadillac of Plymouth is seeking an experienced Class A or Class B Automotive Service Technician to support our used vehicle reconditioning operation. This position is well suited for a technician who values variety, independence, and quality-driven work without the pressure of customer pay or warranty repair. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all pre-owned vehicles meet dealership and safety standards prior to being offered for sale. Position Overview This is not a traditional line technician role. You will work primarily with used vehicles across multiple makes and models, focusing on inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure road-ready quality.

Requirements

• Class A or Class B Technician experience required
• Class A: Advanced diagnostics and full-system repairs
• Class B: Maintenance, brakes, suspension, and light diagnostics
• ASE certifications and manufacturer training preferred
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on technical work
• High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications and manufacturer training preferred

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair used vehicles to dealership standards
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and safety-related repairs
• Conduct road tests to verify performance and repair quality
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Participate in required technical training and development
