About The Position

We are looking for a high-performing, Manufacturer Certified "A" Class Automotive Technician to join our Chevrolet service team. In this pivotal role, you will act as a Shop Leader, supporting the Shop Foreman and mentoring junior technicians. This position is designed for a technical master who thrives on solving complex diagnostic puzzles and delivering world-class service to every guest.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as an "A" Class Technician (GM or Chevrolet experience preferred).
  • Current Manufacturer Certification is required; ASE Certifications are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to mentor others.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a personal toolset.
  • Minimum of 5 years in professional automotive repair (preferred).
  • ASE Certification (Required).
  • Manufacturer Certification (Required).
  • Maintain ASE Certification in the following areas: A1: Engine Repair A2: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle A3: Manual Drive Train & Axles A4: Suspension & Steering A5: Brakes A6: Electrical/Electronic Systems A7: Heating & Air Conditioning AB: Engine Performance A9: Light Vehicle Diesel Engines
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (must qualify for company insurance).
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and teamwork.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and influence shop team members.
  • Advanced diagnostic and repair skills across all major systems.
  • Dedicated to delivering an exceptional service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Shop Leader, providing guidance and mentorship to junior and apprentice technicians.
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, HVAC, suspension, and diesel systems.
  • Perform comprehensive multi-point inspections and test-drive vehicles to ensure all repairs meet factory and dealer safety standards.
  • Provide accurate labor/time estimates and maintain detailed service records.
  • Maintain active manufacturer certifications and participate in ongoing dealership training.
  • Maintain a professional workspace and ensure all personal tools are service-ready.
