We are seeking a reliable and friendly Automotive Service Porter to join our service department team. This role involves welcoming customers, assisting with vehicle movement on the lot, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety within the service area. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles, and a professional demeanor. This position requires working in a non-climate controlled environment and the ability to physically bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift objects as needed. Requirements

  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Basic computer and internet skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions carefully.
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as required.
  • Willingness to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers entering the service area with a welcoming and professional attitude.
  • Answer customer questions and direct them to the appropriate service personnel.
  • Install protective coverings such as seat covers, steering wheel covers, and floor mats on vehicles brought in for service.
  • Move customer vehicles safely within the lot and service areas.
  • Deliver keys and repair orders to Service Advisors promptly after parking vehicles.
  • Retrieve vehicles when customers are ready to leave and thank them for their business.
  • Perform cleaning and custodial duties in the service shop and lot to maintain a neat environment.
  • Follow all safety and security procedures.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, and educational sessions.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
