We are currently seeking a reliable and friendly Automotive Service Porter to join our team in Gilroy, CA. The Automotive Service Porter will greet customers as they arrive at the service department and assist with the smooth transition to our Service Advisors. This role includes moving customer vehicles safely around the lot and service areas, ensuring they remain clean and free from damage. Additional duties include cleaning and maintaining the shop and lot areas. The ideal candidate must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record, be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles, and possess a positive attitude with a professional appearance. This position requires working outdoors and inside a non-climate controlled service area. Physical activities include standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy objects. Requirements

Valid and unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record
Professional and dependable with a strong work ethic

Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as required

Responsibilities

Greet customers entering the service area with a friendly and professional attitude
Answer customer questions or direct them to the appropriate personnel or location
Install protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats) and tags on vehicles brought in for service
Deliver keys and repair orders to the Service Advisors after parking vehicles
Retrieve vehicles for customers during pick-up, wait at the vehicle, and thank customers for their business
Follow all safety and security procedures
Attend staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
Perform other duties as assigned
