About The Position

We are seeking a Service Manager for our client near Neptune, NJ. Sales are on the rise and our client needs a proven leader to drive growth. Ground floor opportunity to shape a growing dealer’s service department. REQUIREMENTS Previous automotive experience is REQUIRED for this position. Large volume point looking for experienced Service Manager. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of managing technicians and service advisors, demonstrate an ability to run an efficient and productive service department, managing a reconditioning department, and show through their work history an ability to generate sales with high customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone who works hard, communicates clearly and is interested in a real career with long term potential, not just a job. Requirements

  • Previous automotive experience is REQUIRED for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Expected to run all aspects of operation from Detail Dept. to Customer Pay.
  • Manage used car reconditioning center.
  • Hire, train, develop and motivate the service department staff and monitor their performance.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for the service department and keep dealership management informed of variances.
  • Ensure that the service department meets all customer satisfaction (CSI) and financial goals.
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and ensure they are met.
  • Ensure that common courtesy is shown to all customers by every service department employee to promote customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule training, as necessary, to properly repair and service vehicles.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service department operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
