Automotive Service Estimator| Up To $70K & Weekends Off | Olathe
About The Position
As an Automotive Estimator with Christian Brothers Automotive, you will play a critical role in our automotive shop, ensuring that every guest receives top-notch service and their vehicle is repaired to the highest standards. With your excellent communication and organizational skills, you will coordinate with technicians, answer guest inquiries, and maintain an organized repair log to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. As an Estimator, you will also work closely with part supply vendors and other external partners to ensure that we always have the right tools and equipment to get the job done right. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with our vendors and guests, helping us maintain our reputation as a trusted and reliable automotive shop.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with technicians, guests, and other team members to ensure that everyone is on the same page
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills: Estimators are responsible for coordinating multiple work orders, and managing paperwork. They must be highly organized to ensure that everything is completed accurately and on time
- Customer service skills: Must have strong customer service skills to answer customer inquiries, address concerns, and ensure that guests are satisfied with the work that is performed on their vehicles
- Proficient in Windows-based computer software and automotive store applications
- Must be able to type 60wpm. A typing test will be administered during interview process.
- Being dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm
- Being on your feet the majority of the workday (standing, walking, coordinating parts, etc.)
- Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs.
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in an Automotive Sales, Advisor/Writer, or Estimator/Dispatcher position preferred
- Tekmetric proficiency strongly encouraged
Responsibilities
- Reviews all digital vehicle inspections by technicians
- Maintains an organized and up-to-date repair log
- Prepares estimates for guests
- Present the best solution to properly repair our guests’ vehicles in a way that is easy for them to understand
- Build relationships with part supply vendors, tool vendors, and all external vendors effectively
- Works together as a team and assists other employees as needed
- Other duties as assigned
