Key aspects of the role include promoting the sales of appropriate services, parts, and accessories through thorough product understanding, providing accurate cost and time estimates, and obtaining proper authorization from customers. The advisor will also monitor service progress, communicate any changes to customers, administer warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines, confirm appointments, and conduct post-repair follow-ups. Ensuring vehicles are serviced correctly before delivery and communicating results to customers is also a critical part of the job, as is meeting state and federal laws for automobile repair and consumer protection.
