About The Position

Job Title: Automotive Service Advisor Location: Berman STAR Nissan (Niles, IL) Schedule: Full Time Pay: $100,000/year - Commission structured pay plan Company Benefits: Competitive PTO Policy Multiple Low-Cost Medical Insurance Options Low-Cost Dental, Vision & Life Insurance Options Short Term & Long Term Disability Fully PAID Training 401K Automotive Service & Sales Discounts Opportunities for Advancement Job Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and courteously upon arrival at the service drive Obtain customer and vehicle information Listen attentively to customers' concerns and accurately document their vehicle service needs Determine and recommend necessary maintenance based on age, mileage and history of the vehicle. Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts. Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle repairs and address any questions or concerns they may have Comfortably and clearly explain all completed work and charges to the customer Coordinate service appointments and ensure timely completion of service orders Collaborate closely with service technicians, parts department, and other dealership personnel to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction Qualifications 1 year of Service Advisor experience, preferred Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (3 yr min) Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document service requests and recommendations Proficient computer skills and familiarity with automotive service software systems Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures is a plus Must be willing to submit a background screening Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. Requirements

Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (3 yr min)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document service requests and recommendations
Proficient computer skills and familiarity with automotive service software systems
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Must be willing to submit a background screening

Nice To Haves

1 year of Service Advisor experience, preferred
Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures is a plus
