The Service Advisor is responsible for service sales and gross profit, and for proper handling of service customers. By his/her actions, the Service Advisor influences the volume of service business and plays a key role in insuring customer satisfaction. Duties: Obtain customer and vehicle information. Greet each customer in a prompt, courteous manner 100% of the time and never differentiate between customer pay and warranty service Listen to and help interpret customers’ statements accurately Learn and retain customers’ names. Secure agreement from customer before repairs begin. Cover estimate of cost, and approximate time when car will be completed Use prescribed service aids in a manner that will increase customer satisfaction and service sales. Actively promote service sales and look for opportunities to foster and suggest new or used car sales Promptly and professionally answering service calls and setting and confirming appointments. Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards. Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts. Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently. Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order. Stay informed about new products, services, and industry trends to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers. Demonstrate professional personal behavior; conduct oneself in a manner that brings credit to the dealership. Dress in a manner that is in accord with the policy of the dealership; treat all customers in a helpful and courteous manner and strive for complete customer satisfaction in every case
