About The Position

The Automotive Service Advisor at West Houston Volkswagen and Subaru is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing vehicle service requests. This role involves greeting customers, performing vehicle inspections, and effectively communicating service needs and updates to both customers and technicians. The advisor plays a crucial role in maintaining customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the service process.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years experience within an automotive dealership as a Service Advisor or Assistant Service Manager.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience with extended warranties and insurance claims.
• Proficient computer skills.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Perform thorough walk-around inspection of vehicles.
• Accurately record customer concerns and relay this information to technicians.
• Help customers maintain their vehicles by outlining and presenting needed maintenance interval repairs.
• Keep customers informed of vehicle progress while in the shop.
• Notify customers of changes in promised time schedule.
• Inform customers of future maintenance needs.
• Perform active delivery of finished vehicles, explaining work and charges thoroughly.
• Complete all necessary factory training.
