About The Position
At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through ASE Certifications and years of automotive repair experience. We are looking for an automotive service Writer to manage and direct all service department activities of a retail store that sells tires and related automotive parts and mechanical services. Midas is committed to training our associates and promoting from within the organization. As a Midas automotive service Writer, you will direct all automotive and general service technicians in the operation of the shop, ensuring that all activities are performed efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while listening and consulting with customers about their vehicle needs. This includes following up with customers regarding services requested, estimated completion times, and any other inquiries they may have. In this role, you will oversee complete vehicle inspections and make comprehensive recommendations based on the findings. You will build computerized repair orders and source parts as necessary. Additionally, you will deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers, promoting shop service specials to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will also oversee the technicians' inspections, diagnosing, and repairing of domestic, European, and Asian cars and light trucks. Maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the facility is also a key responsibility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the service department's operations.
