About The Position

South Shore Subaru, part of the VIP Automotive Group of Long Island, is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead our high-performing sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated car sales manager, dealership sales manager, or automotive sales leader looking to grow within one of Long Island’s most respected dealership groups. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years Automotive Sales Manager experience in a dealership environment
  • Proven success in automotive sales leadership, closing deals, and desking
  • Experience managing a high-volume automotive sales department
  • Strong knowledge of CDK, VinSolutions CRM, and AutoAlert
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop sales consultants
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of dealership sales processes and customer experience standards

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years in an Automotive Dealership Management Role
  • Experience leading teams in a high-volume franchised dealership

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage the dealership automotive sales team to meet and exceed monthly sales targets
  • Desk deals, structure transactions, and support vehicle sales negotiations and closing
  • Monitor and guide daily sales activities including prospecting, follow-up, and lead management
  • Train and mentor sales consultants to improve closing ratios and customer experience
  • Maintain strong CRM usage and customer database management
  • Work closely with General Management and Finance Department to ensure efficient deal flow
  • Ensure all transactions comply with local, state, and federal automotive sales regulations
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, gross profit, and department productivity
  • Foster a positive team-driven dealership culture focused on performance and customer satisfaction
