About The Position

Group 1 Automotive is a fast-growing leader in automotive retail, and we are seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Consultant to join our Toyota Southwest Houston team. This is a high-impact role supporting both New Car and Used Car sales operations. We are specifically looking for professionals with a demonstrated track record of success in automotive sales and digital/internet sales capabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of automotive sales experience required.
  • Internet sales experience strongly preferred, including handling online leads, virtual communication, and digital retailing processes.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong motivation to succeed in a commission-driven, performance-based environment.
  • High-energy, positive attitude with a professional and polished presence.
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while contributing to team success.
  • Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate vehicles by explaining features, benefits, and warranties; conduct test drives and compare competitive models
  • Prospect daily for new customers and maintain relationships with previous buyers
  • Maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
  • Implement follow-up systems to encourage repeat and referral business
  • Stay informed on product updates, inventory, and accessories to better serve customers
  • Set and achieve personal sales goals aligned with dealership standards
