About The Position

The Sales Consultant at Graff Chevy & GMC of Michigan City is responsible for providing an exceptional car-buying experience for customers seeking Chevy, GMC, and pre-owned vehicles. This position involves engaging with customers, identifying their vehicle needs, presenting appropriate options, and guiding them through the purchase process. The Sales Consultant will have product knowledge and excellent communication skills to close sales and build long-term relationships with customers. Achieving sales targets and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction are key components of this role.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.

  • Automotive Sales Experience: Not necessary, will train the right candidate.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with Chevy and GMC vehicles, as well as the automotive industry in general, will be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Greet customers promptly and professionally, identifying their needs and providing an exceptional, personalized car-buying experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Chevy, GMC, and pre-owned vehicle inventory, including features, pricing, and financing options to effectively answer customer inquiries and guide purchasing decisions.
  • Customer Follow-Up: Build and nurture relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and encouraging repeat business and referrals. Follow up on leads and previous customers to drive sales.
  • Sales Goals: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to the dealership’s success.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct test drives and provide detailed walkarounds of vehicles, highlighting key features and answering questions to enhance customer decision-making.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure every customer interaction results in a positive experience, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
