About The Position

The Automotive Retail Manager In Training (MIT) position at Big Brand Tire & Service is designed to launch high-potential individuals with leadership characteristics into fast-paced careers in automotive service. The role focuses on learning the ins and outs of store operations, emphasizing customer experience, sales, and service advisor responsibilities, with the goal of moving into a leadership role within 6 months. Candidates will start by working alongside service advisors and store leadership to understand daily operations and will be expected to demonstrate initiative, integrity, and a strong work ethic as they grow into their role.

Requirements

  • Possess a College degree and 1 year of management experience (shift manager for retail or service industry).
  • Or, 3 years of automotive experience with 1 year of management experience.
  • Or, 3 years management experience (shift manager for retail or service industry).
  • Or, 2 years in a lead role or supervisory position.
  • Be energetic, hard-working, and ethical.
  • Understand and follow company strategies and policies.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and must be insurable under our automobile insurance.
  • Be physically able to lift 70 lbs. and endure continuous crouching, bending, and turning.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside service advisors and store leadership to understand daily operations.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support sales efforts on the front line.
  • Deliver an excellent experience for all guests and make buying from the company simple, reliable, and accommodating.
  • Learn key operational skills, including scheduling, repair order flow, and technician workload management.
  • Get hands-on experience with inventory control, point-of-sale systems, and store performance metrics.
  • Shadow leaders and take on increasing responsibility each week as you prepare for advancement.
  • Manage multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with teammates and customers alike.
  • Apply knowledge of tires, tire-related products, and basic mechanical services to support daily store needs.
  • Provide a safe, functional facility for team members and guests, and present a professional image to all visitors.
  • Responsible for performing in the key individual performance categories and continuously meeting standard and trending towards or exceeding monthly goals.
