About The Position

As the Automotive Porter, you will be responsible for the day-to-day flow of vehicles across the lot and service areas, ensuring that all vehicles are properly parked, staged, organized, and ready for customer and team use. You have a positive can‑do mindset, great interpersonal skills, and work well with team members to problem‑solve! As an Automotive Porter, you play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors, staff, and residents. This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including waste removal, floor care, and general upkeep of public and private areas. The Porter supports operational efficiency by promptly addressing maintenance requests and assisting with the setup and breakdown of equipment or furniture as needed. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to identify and resolve potential hazards or cleanliness issues before they impact the facility. Ultimately, the Porter contributes significantly to the smooth daily operations and positive reputation of the organization by upholding high standards of hygiene and orderliness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety standards.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter roles.
  • Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal throughout the facility.
  • Maintain restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure they are clean, stocked, and sanitary at all times.
  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies to support events, maintenance, or operational needs.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to established guidelines.
