About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Southwest Kia is responsible for providing excellent customer service while managing parts inventory and assisting the Parts department with various tasks. This role involves shipping, delivering, and receiving parts orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The clerk will also interact with customers, both retail and wholesale, to ensure their needs are met promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary for select roles.
  • Automotive dealership service experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Working knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service with a focus on the customer's perspective.
  • Maintain accurate parts inventory and assist with routine audits and organization.
  • Ship, deliver, and receive parts orders.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Assist customers promptly and professionally, ensuring clear communication.
  • Maintain parts inventory, including stocking shelves and conducting perpetual bin audits.
  • Maintain a delivery board with departure times and destinations.
  • Keep a detailed delivery log for handling returns and funds.
  • Assist in the annual physical parts inventory.
  • Deliver parts to technicians or recipients and pull orders for counter persons when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and delivery vehicle.
  • Notify the parts manager of damaged parts or shortages.
  • Answer telephone calls and greet customers in a friendly manner according to ITC standards.
  • Complete all required Lithia and manufacturer training for certification.
  • Sweep floors and empty trash containers daily.
