Under general supervision of Parts Supervisor, performs work of routine difficulty in procurement and issuance of vehicle parts (light duty, heavy duty, and bus), equipment and supplies. Orders, receives, issues and stocks/stores parts, equipment, supplies and materials. Inspects parts, supplies and equipment for conformity with specifications; contacts vendors regarding discrepancies. Researches and orders specialized, or non-stock items as needed. Assists in conducting inventories. Maintains contact with vendors regarding availability of parts, status of orders, and alternative sources of supply. Ensures parts are reconciled to work orders for billing. Performs computer data entry of inventory received, stock issues, and parts transactions. Performs other work as required.
