About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative will work in the parts department of a local contracted Municipal Fleet Operation, focusing on handling parts sales inquiries and assisting technicians with their parts requests for various applications, including light duty and heavy-duty vehicles. This role is crucial in ensuring that parts are sourced and delivered efficiently to support fleet operations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of auto parts or automotive industry.
• Experience in auto parts sales.
• Ability to manage a large number of open orders and set expected delivery times.
• Ability to work with suppliers to ensure needed parts are correctly identified and ordered.
• Enter orders promptly and accurately.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• HD parts experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle parts sales inquiries and assist technicians with parts requests.
• Operate on a 'Back Counter' in a Fleet environment, not in retail.
• Fill requests with stocked parts and source non-stocking parts from vendors.
• Manage a large number of open orders and set expected delivery times.
• Work with suppliers to ensure parts are correctly identified and ordered.
• Enter orders promptly and accurately.
• Answer customer's automotive parts questions and assist with quotes.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
