About The Position

Hiring Immediately, Automotive Parts Manager. Great compensation with benefits. We are seeking a Parts Manager for our client Infiniti of Norwood. Award Winning Large Massachusetts Family-Owned Dealership is looking for a Top Performing Parts Manager. This experienced individual must be a strong leader who runs an efficient and profitable parts department and focuses on team building and servicing customers for a high-volume dealership. REQUIREMENTS Previous automotive experience is REQUIRED for this position, with a minimum of 3 years of Parts Manager experience. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of managing inventory and parts advisors, demonstrate an ability to run an efficient and productive parts department, and show through their work history an ability to generate sales with high customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone who works hard, communicates clearly and is interested in a real career with long term potential, not just a job. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
  • Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities of the Parts Department.
  • Establishes short and long-term operating and financial objectives for the Parts Department within the Company’s overall plans and policies.
  • Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
  • Work with Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department.
  • Attend managers’ meetings.
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales.
  • Ensures that approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied within the department.
  • Reviews and appraises the results of activities within the department and takes appropriate actions as necessary.
  • Develops merchandising strategies to ensure the objectives are obtained.
  • Maintains appropriate communication between all departments within the dealership.
  • Promotes safe work habits and ensures that safety rules are followed.
  • Develops and maintains policies and practices which will ensure positive customer relations.
  • Hires, trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of all parts department staff.
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department’s employees.
  • Provide technical assistance to parts department employees.
  • Conduct meetings with parts department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation.
  • Ensure that all employees follow their assigned work schedules and plan and ensure coverage for the Department.
  • Make customer satisfaction a department priority, ensuring that service and parts personnel are courteous and respectful in their interaction with customers.
  • Supervises stock order procedures.
  • Ensure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location.
  • Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the defined areas.
  • Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keep the computer system up to date.
  • Serve as liaison with factory representatives.
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
