About The Position

Auto-Wares Group of Companies is seeking a Full-Time Counterperson for their Livonia, MI store. This role involves establishing positive customer experiences, providing efficient and accurate expertise, finalizing sales through various methods, developing deep product knowledge, and supporting customer needs by offering all product options. The Counterperson will also assist with maintaining store appearance, processing returns, and training newer personnel. Auto-Wares Group, founded in 1976, is a substantial distribution network across multiple states, specializing in extensive inventory, product knowledge, and full-service programs, supporting numerous auto parts stores, service centers, and wholesale accounts.

Requirements

  • Previous 3 years experience in automotive field.
  • Customer focused with strong communication skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of Age
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • No major violations
  • No more than two moving violations in the past 3 years if over 25 years of age, in the past 5 years if under 25 years of age
  • No more than one at-fault accident
  • Must be able to comply with all physical requirements of position including a pre-employment physical and drug test.
  • Able to lift and Carry up to 50 Pounds with Both Arms.

Responsibilities

  • Be the face of our company by establishing positive experiences with every customer interaction.
  • Conduct all activities using a customer focused perspective, always providing efficient and accurate expertise.
  • Finalize sales using methods such as phone calls, in person communication, and more!
  • Establish a deep knowledge of the parts and services we provide to our customers.
  • Support our customers’ needs through always offering all product options to our customers and exemplifying our Never Say No values.
  • Assist store personnel in maintaining a clean and organized store appearance.
  • Contribute to the store’s daily operations by processing returns and assisting newer store personnel.
