The Parts Counterperson will work closely with the service department issuing parts and accessories to technicians, selling parts to retail customers, assisting in the management of parts inventory and working with vendors to locate and order parts. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive experience is preferred
  • Previous parts experienced is preferred
  • Computer knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Working in conjunction with the service department to look up required parts for jobs in the shop
  • Helping service advisors and technicians by creating parts estimates
  • Receiving, pulling and billing parts
  • Creating orders within the Mopar ordering system
  • Placing orders and creating purchase orders for outside vendors
  • Working with customers over the phone and in house with over counter sales.
  • Assist parts manager in maintaining a clean and efficient parts inventory
  • Order parts as needed to keep the parts inventory at the correct level
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with all vendors
  • Expedite parts and/or search alternative sources when determining defective parts
  • Maintain accurate accounting record for purchased and/or returned parts
  • Stock in all incoming parts and reconcile parts invoice and actual parts received
