About The Position

The Automotive Parts Associate is responsible for ordering all types of parts, tires, lubricants, and other necessary items. This role includes managing purchase orders, returns, and ensuring that parts are available for shop operations. The associate must maintain an organized workspace and comply with safety regulations while effectively communicating with management and co-workers.

Requirements

• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in an automotive shop environment with higher noise levels.
• Punctuality and a neat, professional appearance.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision at certain times.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish desired (not required).

Responsibilities

• Orders parts, supplies, tires, lubricants, and other items as needed.
• Open Purchase Orders, list parts on PO, and add parts to shop RO.
• Manages all returns, credits, and places internet and all parts orders as needed.
• Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may result in a part supply issue or cause a change in the promised time.
• Maintains parts rooms, tire storage areas, and workstation in a neat and organized manner.
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to parts, lubricants, and other hazardous materials.
• Cooperates and assists other personnel in the ordering process and other duties as assigned.
• Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts and shop operations.
• Operates all computers and printers in a safe and professional manner.
